Role: Diesel Mechanic

Type: Full time; Direct HIre

Schedule: Mon-Fri | some Saturdays

Pay: $32 - $48 an hour

Key Staffing is looking for a talented Diesel Mechanic to join our client's fleet service team in Bakersfield. This is a direct-hire position, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

What You'll Do:

  • Diagnose and repair assigned equipment, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Secure current price quotes for parts if requested.
  • Perform authorized repairs and adjustments in a consistent, high-quality, timely manner.
  • Communicate effectively with the parts department to obtain needed parts.
  • Remain up-to-date on the latest technical information and service procedures.
  • Manage repair strategy and vehicle downtime to return equipment to service promptly.
  • Ensure all repairs are completed within established repair times.
  • Attend all required training sessions and department meetings.
  • Adhere to dealership and service department policies, procedures, and protocols.
  • Safeguard information system assets by identifying abnormalities and reporting suspicious activity.

What You'll Need:

  • Valid Driver's License (Class A and C).
  • Two-year college or technical school training or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to interpret instructions in various forms.
