Reporting to the owner, the concrete masonry estimator will be responsible for pursuing and tracking outstanding bids with clients, and developing relationships, providing detailed estimates, budgets, cost planning, scope reviews, and pre/post contract negotiations. Essential Responsibilities

Analyze requirement documents, blueprints, and project plans, and prepare accurate cost estimates for projects.

Calculate the quantity and cost of materials, labor, and equipment needed for each project.

Collaborate with contractors, foremen, and clients to understand project requirements and constraints.

Research and evaluate suppliers to ensure the best quality materials at the most competitive prices.

Establish and maintain a historical cost database for labor, material, and equipment to ensure accurate and efficient bids.

Prepare detailed and organized project proposals, including itemized cost breakdowns and timelines.

Present estimates/proposals to clients and stakeholders, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.

Maintain accurate records of project estimates, costs, and related documentation.

Collaborate with the preconstruction team to align with the company's objectives and goals.

Monitor project progress and budget throughout the construction phase, providing support and guidance as needed.

Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure completion of all duties and tasks.

Essential Qualifications

Strong knowledge of masonry construction techniques, materials, and codes

Experience in estimating and bidding for masonry projects.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications

Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.

Effective communication and collaboration skills, Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in construction estimating software/tools. Knowledge of local building regulations and permit processes

Degree in Construction Management or related field is preferred, and Relevant certifications or licenses are a plus.
