Carolina Medical Lab is seeking a Fully-Vaccinated Float Phlebotomist to draw COVID-positive patients.

Pay Rate: $19 per hour (Overtime eligible) Full Time
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Holiday Pay, 10 days Paid Vacation/Sick leave per year
Hours: Any Hour Mon - Fri

• Nursing Home assignments normally start between 1 am and 3 am, but if the facilities are out of town, you will need to start early enough to accommodate drive time

Home Base: Charlotte, NC University Area

• If you work out of town, and/or work for longer than 12 hours for the day, we will do our best to allow the next day off to rest as our coverage needs allow.
• You may be asked to stay in a hotel overnight if you have multiple consecutive days at a distant location. (We try to avoid this if possible)

Transportation: Driving company car to and from assignments
Coverage Area: Raleigh, Rocky Mount, Fayetteville, Charlotte, Morganton, Gastonia, Salisbury, Greensboro, Wadesboro, Rockhill, SC,and Orangeburg SC

REQUIREMENTS

• Great written and verbal communication skills and prompt response time
• No schedule limitations from Monday - Friday
• Great driving record
• Detail-oriented
• Excellent attendance record
• Experience in drawing geriatrics and pediatrics
• Great Bedside Manner

This is an extremely challenging position because of the ever-changing schedule, as well as having to learn the standard operating procedures at all of the facilities we cover, and the distances we travel for coverage. This position requires that the candidate be extremely flexible as their assignments may change based on the needs in the field. This position will also collect UTO’s in the area for phlebotomists that have been unsuccessful after 2 attempts of drawing a patient so they must be very skilled.
