Responsibilities:

This full-time outside sales role focuses on identifying and cultivating new business relationships. Responsibilities include meeting and interviewing prospective customers, realtors, financial advisors, attorneys, and other referral sources. The role involves gathering and analyzing customer financial information, advising customers on the various mortgage products, and helping them choose the appropriate loan program. Additionally, the position requires obtaining loan applications from customers and assisting them through the loan approval process.

  • Support the Company’s growth through outside sales activities and lead generation
  • Travel to various communities, realtors’ offices, and other appropriate locations on a regular basis (at least weekly) to solicit new business and/or leads.
  • Review leads daily and contact prospective customers via telephone and email to set up in-person/virtual meetings
  • Originate and prepare new loans in accordance with the “Loan Officer” agreement, signed at the time of employment, to ensure all loans meet the guidelines of the Products and Policies manual for upfront
  • Advise and recommend the various mortgage loan products based on the customer’s individual need
  • Review and Lock interest rates as needed with the borrowers.
  • Maintain reports and notes within origination computer system regarding prospects and customers to ensure complete exchange of information regarding loan application, loan status, conversations with customers, underwriting, lock in information and monthly projected closings

​Qualifications:

  • Active Florida NMLS License
  • Minimum 2-3 year experience working as a loan officer (mortgage broker experience a plus)
  • Previous experience in finance, banking, or other related fields
  • Familiarity with financial and lending practices
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong technology skills - prior experience in Encompass 360 a plus
