Patient Financial Counselor | Full Time and Per Diem roles available
Fully on-site | Edison, NJ area
Weekdays | 8:30am to 5:00pm
- Maintain patient accounts by verifying and updating personal and financial information
- Process payments, refunds, and adjustments accurately and in a timely manner
- Review and resolve billing discrepancies or issues with insurance claims
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients regarding their accounts
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and efficient financial processes
- Assist with financial analysis and reporting as needed
Skills:
- Healthcare experience
- Charity Care experience
- Experience with Epic, Availity or Navinet a plus
- Customer service
- Empathy
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve billing discrepancies effectively
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
