The Accounting Assistant will assist the accounting department with their administrative and financial work while meeting the additional needs of the organization. This position is responsible for data entry into iMedical’s operating system, checking for accuracy and look for errors and make adjustments accordingly. This position will also assist in the reviews and accuracy of Purchase Orders and billing. They may also perform certain clerical duties including taking notes during meetings, making copies and scanning documents to add to iMedical’s digital filing system or platform.
Responsibilities:
· Customer Service: Accounting assistant will assist in emails and daily incoming phone calls to direct customers to the right departments or representatives. They will often need to communicate with vendors and customers about invoices and payments.
· Data Entry: Basic data entry tasks for accounting assistants include logging transactions, recording and reviewing journal entries, creating invoices and purchase orders, and utilizing spreadsheets.
· Clerical Duties: This position may run errands around the office. They handle incoming mail, scan and photocopy documents, and help assist in preparations for quarterly meetings and reports. They also help with year-end audits and bank reconciliations once fully trained
· Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all goals are met and procedures are in place to increase productivity
· Communication: Regularly communicates with team members and management on important problems or updates.
· Collaborate with QA Manager to review processes and procedures to create, maintain and update according to iMedical’s expectations.
· Establish, maintain, and foster positive harmonious working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
· Performs and assists managers with any other duties or tasks assigned within the iMedical facility.
