Suffolk County plaintiff civil practice and creditors’ rights law firm, with commitment to professionalism, respect and achieving best possible results for its clients, is seeking a litigation associate to actively litigate cases in New York State.

Position Summary:

·         Responsible for managing a caseload of litigated and non-litigated claims.

·         Develop case strategy, review and approve pleadings, discovery, motion practice, settlement agreements, trial practice and more. 

·         Work directly with firm senior management and firm clients to lead matters to positive resolution.

·         Partner with firm paralegals and support staff in producing and responding to legal demands.

·         Attend court appearances and conduct trials.

Requirements:

·         J.D. from an ABA accredited law school.

·         Admitted to and in good standing with the NYS bar.

·         Self-directed professional with attention to detail and ability to manage workload and prioritize appropriately.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Ability to establish trusted partnerships with internal and external clients.

·         Ability to work as a team player.

·         Ability to maintain confidential information and acceptable standards of office and professional conduct.

·         This position requires regular travel. Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.

Preferred: Previous litigation or creditor's rights experience is preferred but not required; additional bar admissions also preferred but not required.
