We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mohs Histology Technician to join our team. As a Mohs Histology Technician, you will play a crucial role in our dermatology practice by preparing tissue specimens for microscopic examination during Mohs surgery procedures. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge dermatological care and work alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic healthcare environment.

**Responsibilities:**

- Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining of Mohs specimens according to established protocols.
- Prepare high-quality slides for microscopic examination by the Mohs surgeon, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
- Maintain proficiency in the operation and maintenance of histology equipment and instruments.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist with quality control and assurance measures to uphold laboratory standards.
- Maintain accurate records of specimens, slides, and laboratory activities.
- Collaborate effectively with Mohs surgeons, pathologists, and other laboratory staff to optimize workflow and patient care.

**Requirements:**

- Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) through an accredited program preferred.
- Experience in Mohs histology or dermatopathology highly desirable.
- Proficiency in tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards under pressure.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
- Commitment to patient care and confidentiality.
- Familiarity with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
