Join our dynamic team as a Project Estimator at MSB Disaster Recovery Services Inc. We are seeking a hard-working, detail oriented, professional Project Estimator. The candidate we seek will work in the office as well as the field, visiting job sites, and writing scopes for losses including but not limited to flood/water, fire, mold, and other property damage. This estimator position will work closely with the our Sr. Estimator for Repairs and Production Team. As a Project Estimator, you will play a crucial role in analyzing project requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and providing clients with exceptional customer service.

Duties:

· Negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to secure competitive pricing.

· Provide timely and accurate estimates for new projects and change orders.

· Create preliminary project budgets and timelines.

· Conduct site visits to assess construction needs and gather relevant information for estimating purposes.

· Communicate effectively with Production Team to clarify project specifications and resolve discrepancies.

· Respond to requests for services i.e. job walks and site meetings

· Prepare Detailed scopes, estimates and proposals to clients

· Correspond and Communicate with clients, managing parties, insurance parties, etc. to ensure satisfaction

· Maintain existing client relationships and create new ones

· Properly document job files

What are we looking for?

  • Experience with Xactimate REQUIRED
  • Experience with Symbility/CoreLogic software is a plus
  • Experience with TPA Programs is a plus
  • Multi-tasking, Detail Oriented, Responsible Individual.
  • Experience in insurance restoration estimating and/or project management or closely related field, is preferred but we are willing to train the right individual.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, equipment, schedules, contracts, specifications and trades.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills required.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills required.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing and contracts.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.

Eligibility to operate a company vehicle is required as part of employment, therefore background check and drug screening will be required for employment.
