Job DescriptionJob Description

Essential Job Functions

·       Identify, support, and industrialize repair processes.

·       Facilitate implementation and qualification of new repairs.

·       Participate directly with the Component Engineering team.

·       Provide technical direction to shop engineering team.

·       Support repair projects that improve safety, quality, productivity, and cycle.

·       Review and approve shop repair plans and work instructions.

·       Provide technical assistance for process and quality issue resolution.

·       Perform special process audits to ensure compliance with GE requirements.

·       Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.

·       Participate on teams for problem solving, standardization, and best practice sharing.

·       Participate in technical and program reviews as needed.

Qualifications

·       Minimum of 5 years of experience working in, with, and/or supporting a manufacturing, Services, repair, or design environment.

·       Lean training or equivalent quality training.

·       Strong mechanical design and analytical background.

·       Familiarity with manufacturing processes.

·       Ability and established track record to drive projects to completion.

·       Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

·       Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work. 

·       Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures.

·       Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early.

·       Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM
