Responsibilities of the Controller include but are not limited to:

  • General ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and work papers for a diverse portfolio of residential properties
  • Act as a resource for Director of Operations, Regional Managers, Property Administration, Staff and Accounting Department Personnel on accounting issues
  • Assist in preparing year end and quarterly financial statements for investment funds
  • Maintain, reconcile, and record monthly third party property management accounting
  • Provide back up and support to the Fund Controller and Assistant Controller as needed
  • Prepare special reports and projects, collect, analyze and summarize information and trends
  • Manage and grow a team

Controller requirements:

  • BS degree in Accounting
  • 7+ years of accounting experience in Real Estate
  • Management experience required
  • Very strong excel skills
