Family-owned business seeking a quality Class A CDL Lowboy Driver

We are looking for an experienced equipment haul driver to haul our heavy construction equipment. Driver duties will include, but are not limited to, loading/unloading equipment without assistance or supervision, cleaning and prepping equipment for safe and compliant travel, proper tie down use, know how to attach/detach from a hydraulic gooseneck lowboy and safely travel on public roads while loaded with oversized equipment. End dump experience is a plus since we use the tractor to pull our company end dump as well.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Able to work a flexible schedule and as many as 10 hours in a day (typically Monday through Friday with an occasional Saturday)
  • Prompt attendance at assigned work location
  • Perform safety inspections as required by the DOT to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order – report all issues to Company
  • Load and unload trailer where required
  • Ensure load is secured properly & weight is compliant
  • Communicate frequently with Company on trips, delays, issues, etc.
  • Maintain compliance with all DOT requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

CDL Class A Lowboy Driver Requirements

  • Valid Class A - CDL License
  • Lowboy Experience
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Must meet the medical standards of the U.S. Department of Transportation
  • Must pass background check and drug screen

Education/Certifications

  • Current Class A Driver’s License
  • Current DOT Physical and Medical card (if you do not have a current card, one must be obtain if considered for employment)
  • High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

  • 2+ years’ experience loading and offloading heavy equipment
  • Air brake endorsement

Special Requirements

  • Overtime required; some weekend work

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
