We are seeking a Production Supervisor Off Shift to join our team You will oversee the activities of a team of production workers.

Responsibilities:

  • Plans and schedules daily staffing needs to improve labor efficiency and ensure production needs are met
  • Builds and fosters strong working relationships, collaboration within their team and a positive work environment
  • Supervises the daily shift operations to ensure production standards and quality parameters are met
  • Reinforces company and plant policies fairly and consistently
  • Achieves targeted production volumes
  • Ensures work is accomplished in a safe manner and the workplace is free of safety hazards
  • Provides employees with the training, equipment, and tools to be able to safely perform their jobs
  • Leads and demonstrates safe practices
  • Participates in safety investigations and corrective actions
  • Leads and executes the department's quality systems to achieve quality goals
  • Monitors team operations and makes recommendations for labor and manufacturing efficiency, cost savings, and quality improvements
  • Be humble, inquisitive, patient, collaborative, innovative, results-oriented, and resilient, led by example
  • Coordinate the daily activities of the production and operation teams
  • Delegate production assignments to appropriate teams and personnel
  • Place production orders from customers
  • Inspect all materials and equipment to detect malfunctions
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

  • Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or other related fields
  • Knowledge of production tools and equipment
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Company DescriptionSRS Fiberglass was previously known as Michigan Molded Acoustics and was incorporated in Michigan in 1986 and headquartered in Hudson, Michigan. At the time, MMA was extensively involved in the office furniture business. The business was acquired by a large publicly traded corporation and run for several years until it was shut down a few years ago. The same original owners from Michigan Molded Acoustics decided to get back together and get back into the molding businesses ... hence the start of SRS Fiberglass in 2011, located in Muskegon Heights, Michigan. Today SRS Fiberglass is still run and managed by the same owners.

The strength of the leadership team at SRS Fiberglass is the experience of being involved in the fiberglass and acoustic performance business. The actual experience of the owners and the VP Sales at SRS Fiberglass gives the ability to boast over 100 years of actual hands on experience in the fiberglass and fiberglass molding business.

Today SRS Fiberglass has several thermal/compression presses each dedicated to multiple facets of the molding business.
