Our client, a leader in aluminum extrusion is seeking an EHS coordinator for their Safety Team located in Wylie.

The EHS coordinator will provide direct support to the EHS supervisor/ manager and production team members. The EHS coordinator will be directly supported by and report to the EHS supervisor/ manager. Bilingual in English/Spanish REQUIRED.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·       Report and document near-misses and accidents.

·       Participate in Safety Committee meetings and manage related action items and work orders.

·       Perform chemical inventories and manage emergency practices for hazardous materials.

·       Assist in environmental inspections and testing.

·       Support EHS supervisor/manager in developing, implementing, and sustaining EHS programs, including safety, health, environmental obligations, 6S lean practices, and facility maintenance.

·       Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for safety-sensitive processes, including Anodize, Cast House, Extrusions, and Paint Line.

·       Facilitate new team member safety orientation and maintain training records.

·       Develop, coordinate, and maintain equipment operator training records (e.g., forklift, scissor lift, overhead cranes).

·       Lead and maintain continuous improvement activities for EHS.

·       Foster and facilitate 6S events and teams, including Safety and Sanitize Teams.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Minimum of 1-3 years of safety support or related experience within a face paced manufacturing environment

·       Must have a valid state issued driving license

·       Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

·       A minimum of 1-3years experience related to manufacturing environment in a training capacity role.

·       Team facilitation experience preferred.

·       Bi-lingual required, English / Spanish

·       Strong background in organization, communication, problem solving, and planning.
