We are currently seeking a New Car Dealership technician to become an integral part of our team. Dealership or non dealership experience required. Technicians not fully trained will be considered for the position.
We will immediately train any mid level technician in Chrysler and Volkswagen.
If you are an experienced, franchised, master mechanic, we will pay you $45 per hour ($100,000 yr).
Auto Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities
- Examine cars based on customer requests or concerns
- Perform basic maintenance, including changing motor oil, rotating tires, and checking fluid levels
- Identify mechanical and electrical problems with both manual and computerized diagnostic equipment
- Repair or replace worn parts and systems, such as spark plugs, wheel bearings, brake pads, fuel systems, and sensors
- Follow checklists to ensure thorough examination of all parts and systems
- Repair and or replace all mechanical. electrical and computerized systems
- Perform repairs thoroughly and accurately
- Ensure customer satisfaction at all times
Auto Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completion of a postsecondary program in automotive service technology a plus
- ASE certification (A Big Plus)
- Experience with electronic systems maintenance and repair
- Basic computer skills required
- Strong communication skills
- Physical strength and stamina, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds
