Job DescriptionJob Description

Seeking an experienced Gear Machinist to be responsible for cutting gears from various gear cutting equipment. Excellent pay and benefits.

 

Responsibilities:

 

 

  • Operate manual gear hob machines, shapers, thread mills, and bevel gear generators with minimal

supervision

  • Be familiar with cutting spur, sprocket, helical, bevel, worm, internal & external gears
  • Possess the ability to use precision measuring equipment tools to take accurate measurements
  • Proficiently read and interpret engineering drawings and setup sheets
  • Demonstrate proficiency in math and analytical abilities (to include but not limited to Algebra, Geometry,

and Trigonometry)

  • Utilize good verbal and written communication skills, able to read, comprehend and create written and

verbal instructions in the English language

  • Follow all company and common-sense safety policies, while using all required personal protective

equipment, when necessary

  • Contribute to our team environment by anticipating the needs of co-workers, bringing a positive attitude into

the culture and showing an eagerness to discover and share new opportunities for our organization

 

 

 

Requirements

 

1. 3 or more years of Gear Cutting Setup and Operation experience.
