Job DescriptionJob Description

I am looking for a bilingual medical assistant. Experience is preferred. Must be available Monday through Friday from 830am to 6pm some Saturdays 830am to 1230 pm and must be able to reliably commute to work on time. Duties include perform stim treatments, monitor patients that are doing exercises, sanitize equipment, scheduling, answering phones, faxing, emailing, sending referrals out, communicating with patients, coworkers, providers and lawyers on a daily basis, create soap notes, vitals.

Medical Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and gather contact information and insurance data
  • Answer phone calls, respond to patient questions, and take messages
  • File insurance forms and call insurance companies with questions about coverage
  • Schedule new and follow-up appointments
  • Prepare rooms and ensure supplies are ready, ordering more when necessary
  • Assist in procedures and examinations
  • Take and record patient vitals
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment, and medications

Medical Assistant Requirements and Qualifications

  • Must be Bilingual (Spanish & English)
  • Must be able to commute to work on time
  • Certified Medical Assistant preferred
  • Associate degree in a medical field (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience working for a healthcare practice or hospital (required if not certified)
  • Familiar with medical terminology
  • Inventory management experience
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
