Sterndahl is seeking a contract to hire employment opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator. As part of our team, you will be administering and managing union payroll operations, ensuring compliance with prevailing wage regulations, and handling workers' compensation matters. You will also be tasked with conducting work comp audits and maintaining monthly union reporting. This position will report to the VP of Administration but will have frequent interactions with the President and other key leaders.

Responsibilities:
· Oversee union payroll operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all transactions
· Administer, manage, and document union payroll effectively
· Enter and ensure compliance with Certified Payroll processes such as LCP Tracker
· Handle matters relating to workers' compensation and OCIP reporting
· Maintain monthly union reporting, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate
· Utilize ProContractor system for payroll operations
· Stay updated with prevailing wage regulations and ensure compliance
· Manage and document union payroll experience is required
· Show proficiency in other relevant programs for administering and managing union payroll
· Supervise the Assistant Payroll Administrator
· Manage new hires, rehires, and employee changes
· Track and maintain employee leave
· Generate and submit Federal, State, and Local Tax Reports
· Perform other duties as assigned
Skills:
· 2+ years of Union Payroll experience in the construction industry
· Payroll certification (CPP or FPC) preferred, or willing to obtain
· Proficient in ProContractor or comparable accounting software
· Experience with LCP Tracker
· Strong work ethic, multi-tasking skills, high level of accuracy and attention to detail
· Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external parties at all levels
· Ability to effectively problem-solve and manage confidential financial matters
· Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
· Knowledge of best practices in the areas of accounts receivable and accounting principles
· Ability to handle and prioritize multiple projects, monitor workflow, and maintain cooperative working relationships
