The job will entail working in diverse settings to produce quality finished products. The ideal candidate will have diverse knowledge of carpentry skills and materials while working with little supervision and following all essential health and safety standards. Our Carpenter will contribute to the construction and maintenance of strong and long-lasting buildings and products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to fully understand requirements.
- Take measurements and calculate the size and amount of material needed.
- Cut, shape, smooth, fabricate, and/or install lumber and other material according to measurements.
- Build window frames, doors, staircases, and decking by using raw materials or pre-constructed items.
- Lay out floorings, siding, or roof materials according to specs.
- Inspect areas to conduct repairs or maintenance.
- Build scaffolding and other construction structures when necessary.
Job Qualifications:
- 4-5 years of hands-on carpentry experience.
- Great eye for detail.
- Excellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
- Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, tape measures, etc.)
- Ability to read and understand technical documents and drawings.
- Must follow safety guidelines at all times.
- Good knowledge of English.
- Good understanding of basic math.
- Good physical condition and endurance.
Would like to see (and consider higher hourly salary):
- Experience with Tile installation and basic mechanicals
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
