 Job SummaryWe are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist to join our team. In this role, you will collect blood, tissue, and fluid samples from patients. In addition, you will be taking vital signs, conducting check in and check out in rotation with other CMAs/Phlebotomists,  confirming scheduling appointments, processing documents to submit to doctors for reviewing. This is a role that can make a significant impact in people’s lives, helping them identify underlying conditions and stay healthy. Responsibilities 
  • Prioritize requests for sample collection based on urgency.
  • Collect patients’ personal information. 
  • Preparing laboratory requisitions to send to different labs.
  • Determine the correct venipuncture method for each patient.
  • Provide patients with reassurance during the collection process.
  • Use sterilized needles, vials, and other equipment to draw blood.
  • Correctly label samples and send for testing
 Qualifications
  • Fully bilingual English and Spanish
  • Previous experience as a phlebotomist or Medical Assistant
  • CMA license a must. Phlebotomy diploma preferred.
  • Knowledge of best practices in patient identification methods
  • Familiarity with the legal requirements regarding blood draws and fluid samples
  • Strong computer and data entry, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Compassionate, tactful and polite.
