Job DescriptionJob Description

Express Employment Professionals is a professional staffing company dedicated to helping local businesses find local people. We are currently recruiting a full-time accountant for a publicly traded technology company that operates out of both Grand Junction, CO as well as Canada

Responsibilities:

  • maintain accurate financial records
  • perform full-cycle accounting
  • weekly and monthly real time reporting
  • accounts payable
  • accounts receivable
  • reconcile bank statements and balance sheets
  • prepare and process payroll
  • assist with end of month and end of year closings
  • generate financial reports
  • assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights
  • manage employee expense claims
  • support CFO with admin duties
  • verify subscription software

Experience:

  • knowledge of IFR Standards - required
  • GAAP knowledge - required
  • QuickBooks - required
  • must be be confident working independently
  • proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
  • proficient in intermediate Excel spreadsheets
  • proficient in Microsoft 365 / Office Suite
  • high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • ability to effectively communicate with CFO, Sales Team, 3rd party vendors, and subscription members, buy email phone and in person

Education:

  • BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration (or pending graduation)
