Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Pharmacy to join our team near Pocomoke City, Maryland. The Director of Pharmacy will oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmaceutical care and services to patients while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and direction to the pharmacy team, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize pharmacy operations, enhance efficiency, and improve patient outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing pharmacy practice.
  • Manage inventory, purchasing, and distribution of pharmaceuticals and supplies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to promote safe and effective medication use.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of pharmacy-related policies and procedures.
  • Monitor pharmacy performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, teamwork, and professional development within the pharmacy department.

Pharmacy Operating Hours:

  • Monday Friday: 7:30am 8:00pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 8:00am 6:00pm

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Science or PharmD degree isrequired.
  • VA Pharmacist License
  • Minimum three years of management experience.
  • Minimum three years of hospital pharmacy experience required
