Master Electrician

Total Environmental Concepts, Inc. (TEC) is a petroleum service and construction company with accounts across Maryland, Virginia and D.C. TEC is looking for an experienced Master Electrician that will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for petroleum fueling facilities as well as electronic vehicle charging stations. Successful candidate will verify that all electrical components are installed in a safe and professional manner, as well as, repair and maintain pre-existing systems. This is a full-time, hourly position that works out of the company’s Hanover, MD office until it is relocated to Odenton, MD.

Master Electrician - Essential Functions/Skills:

Installing, repairing, and servicing electrical fuel distribution systems and electronic vehicle charging stations and it includes the use of diagnostic tools to test circuits and ensure they are installed to the applicable code and manufacturer's requirements and in working order.

• Interpreting blueprints and drawing rough sketches when required.

• Testing and troubleshooting systems including providing assistance during emergencies.

• Ensure a safe working environment for all TEC personnel.

• Ensure good communication and work closely with both external and internal customers.

• Provide detailed information on field work by submitting daily reports, time sheet and pictures of work in our cloud based record system each day.

• Supervise other technicians assigned to project – required activities in an efficient and coordinated manner.

• Must be able to identify colored wiring by sight.

• Must be able to consider the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.

Position Requirements:

• Master Electrician license in MD, VA and DC.

• Valid Driver’s License and good driving record required.

• Familiarity with all safety, testing and acceptance procedures (ANSI, BICSI, TIA, NETA, NFPA, OSHA, etc.).

• Strong organizational skills; must be detail oriented and able to multi-task.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Able to follow up on pending issues, meet deadlines, be reliable and work well with others.

• Able to travel to remote sites and perform standard physical duties on a construction site.

Required experience:

• Electrician: 12 years
• Master Electrician: 5 year
