Associate Research Scientist

R&D Partners is seeking to hire an Associate Research Scientist in San Diego, CA.
Your main responsibilities as an Associate Research Scientist:
· Semi-independently execute defined experiments, data analysis and data QC
· Report on scientific results to meet project deadlines
· Work at the bench to develop and execute established and novel molecular and cell-based assays for drug screening as well as understanding molecular pathways (Proliferation, Apoptosis, Flow Cytometry etc.)
· Perform cell biology and molecular biology including primary and tumor cell culture, lentiviral transductions, RNA and protein preparation from cells and tissue, RT-PCR, western blotting, and ELISA.
· Hands on experience in working with CRISPR, siRNA and shRNA is a plus.
What we are looking for in an Associate Research Scientist:
· Have a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline with at least 2-4 years work experience in the Pharma industry/Masters degree acceptable/PhD candidates will not be considered.
· Demonstrate proficiency with sterile cell culture, cell-based assays (CTG, apoptosis) and molecular biology techniques (Protein, DNA and RNA isolations, Western blot, qRT-PCR, Flow Cytometry)
· Experience with high-throughput drug screening is a plus
· Possess some trouble shooting and problem-solving skills to resolve technical questions in a multi-disciplinary environment.
· Be able to work in fast paced environment with changing priorities.
