Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Home Health Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. The CNA will need to provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in their homes, including overnight shifts, as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse or healthcare provider.
- Assist with mobility.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients.
- Administer medications and treatments according to care plans and under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or other licensed healthcare provider.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry, dishes, and maintaining a clean living environment for the patient.
- Document care provided and patient progress in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Follow infection control procedures and maintain a safe environment for patients and themselves.
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Be available to work overnight shifts as needed, providing attentive care to patients during nighttime hours.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid CNA certification in the state of Georgia.
- Current CPR certification and TB Screen.
- Previous experience in home health care or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and follow care plans as directed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for travel to patients' homes.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including overnight shifts as required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
- Knowledgable of Hoyer Lift Operation (Optional)
- Physical stamina to remain on their feet for long periods.
- Comfortable working in various home environments.
