Assembler II

POSITION SUMMARY: As part of the production team the Assembler II performs electronic or electro-mechanical sub-assembly operations to build up and assemble electronic assembly units of moderate complexity.

Pay: $21.50 - $24/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6am - 2:30pm

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Reads, interprets, and works from production/assembly instructions, assembly drawings, part lists, and verbal instructions.

• Identifies and selects floor stock components to be integrated into sub-assembly and assembly units.

• Performs wiring and soldering of mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies and final assemblies.

• Maintains a safe and clean work area.

• Complies with company policies and guidelines pertaining to inventory control, quality, and safety.

• Performs all work in accordance with established quality and safety policies/standards. • Other duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's degree preferred.

• 5-10 years of mechanical assembly experience required.

• Related technical or vocational training or certification considered an asset.

• Familiarity with soldering techniques.

• Basic reading skills. Must be able to follow directions.

• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.

• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.

• Ability to think critically and reason to solve a problem.

• Effective communication skills.

• High attention to detail and self-motivation skills.

• Ability to utilize all assembly tools such as pliers, cutters, strippers, and electrical test equipment such as multi-meters.

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test.
