Yard Manager

Job DescriptionJob Description

We are looking for experienced Yard Personnel to manage daily shipping and distribution operations.

Must be comfortable with paperwork and loading trucks with a forklift.

Duties to include:

• Load, check, prioritize and scheduled shipments
• Managing all important documents such as advanced shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading etc.
• Inspect labels and heat numbers of upcoming deliveries
• Supervise and lead yard helpers
• Directing the flow of outbound deliveries from preparation and staging in yard for multiple jobs, to shipment to the field.
• Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
• Report to Shipping/receiving manager on activities and issues
• Management of Staging materials incoming to the shop to process

Qualifications:

• Solid knowledge of logistics procedures
• Experience in preparing shipping documents
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Problem-solving abilities
