The Shepherd’s House currently serves over 250 clients in three counties. The Substance Abuse Program (SAP), maintained by The Shepherd’s House employees, is an intensive six-month course focused on recovery from addiction. We are looking for a Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counselor for our Franklin County Regional SAP.

As a Drug and Alcohol Counselor you will be responsible for:

  • Inmate intake and assessment

  • Treatment planning

  • Record keeping

  • Group Counseling

  • Facilitating Psycho-educational classes

  • Managing a caseload of 20 clients

**Minimum Education Requirements: Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. preferred degree in the following fields Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Counseling, Criminal Justice or a related field OR a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum licensure of a Temporary Drug and Alcohol Counselor (TCADC).
