Paraprofessional (SY24-25)

At Veritas Prep, paraprofessionals receive a starting salary of $35,000.

What You’ll Do

As a paraprofessional at Veritas Prep, you’ll you'll work with individual and small groups of students supporting their academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success and reinforcing learning of content and skills introduced by the classroom teacher.

You will also:

• Provide student support during arrival, instruction, transitions, lunch, and dismissal.
• Help students master equipment and/or instructional materials assigned by the teacher.
• Assist in the implementation of behavior management supports as directed and supervised by the teacher

• Experience working in an urban school (preferred)
• Experience working with diverse student populations (preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent teamwork skills
• Bilingual applicants (Spanish) strongly encouraged to apply
• Current authorization to work in the United States – a candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment

Veritas Prep is a public, tuition-free school in Springfield that prepares students in grades 5-12 to compete, achieve, and succeed in college and beyond Veritas Prep accelerates every student’s path to college and career by helping students set a strong academic foundation in middle school and guaranteeing access to college classes and college prep support in our wall-to-wall Early College high school.
