Mechanical Engineering Assistant
We are seeking a versatile and skilled individual to join our engineering team as an Engineering Assistant with one-year of SolidWorks CAD experience. This role combines administrative responsibilities with hands-on operation CAD work.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to engineering staff and engineering management.
  • Maintain and update engineering documents, records, and databases.
  • Manage inventory of engineering supplies and equipment.
  • Act as a point of contact between engineering staff and the shop.
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and data entry.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as in a support/assistant or in a similar role. 
  •  Able to work in a shop environment
  • Experience with SolidWorks CAD, one-year required. 
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular).
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma: additional qualifications in Office Administration are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks CAD software for design preparation.
  • Knowledge of different materials and their compatibility with laser engraving processes.

Pay: $24-$25/hr
