Plumbing Designer / Nashville TN

Our firm provides full mechanical and electrical systems design services for a variety of building types, including theaters, government, university and historic structures. 
We have an emphasis on sustainable design and work with many of the area’s most prestigious institutions. Work is interesting and challenging in an informal atmosphere with opportunity for advancement.  

We are have a Plumbing Design career opportunity available in our Nashville TN office. 
Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in the design of commercial and institutional building plumbing systems. 
  • AutoCAD and REVIT experience is required. 
  • Expertise in the use of discipline specific software is required. 
  • Duties include design of sanitary waste and vent, storm drainage, and domestic water piping, compressed air, natural and propane gas and solar water heating systems.                                                  
  • Applicant must also have a comprehensive understanding of the Building and Plumbing Code.   
  • Meeting with project managers to prepare proposed scopes of work 
  • Performing various plumbing design tasks including Design Analysis, Calculations, Equipment selection and layout 
  • Coordinating and communicating all aspects of plumbing design within multi-disciplinary teams 
  •  Developing project schematic designs, design development designs, and construction documents •        
  • Performing services required during the construction phase, i.e., representing the Firm on-site, answering RFI’s, reviewing shop drawings, preparing record drawings, etc. as directed 
  • Ensuring compliance with all quality control policies and procedures.

Preference may be given to those with valid ASPE Certified in Plumbing Design or Certified Plumbing Design Technician credentials. Revit proficiency is a must, knowledge and proficiency of AutoCAD is not required but may be a consideration
