Position Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Housekeeper to join our private household. Our home(s) maintain exceptional cleanliness and organization standards, and we are looking for a dedicated individual to help uphold these standards. The ideal candidate will possess a professional demeanor, impeccable attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of housekeeping best practices. They should be committed to excellence and able to handle any cleaning challenges with ease.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain immaculate cleanliness and hygiene standards in all areas of the home, with special attention to bathrooms.

  • Perform thorough floor care duties, including vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping, to ensure pristine living spaces.

  • Skillfully dust and polish surfaces to enhance the aesthetics of our home.

  • Organize and declutter storage areas to optimize functionality and accessibility.

  • Make beds with precision and change linens as needed.

  • Expertly handle laundry, ironing, and dry-cleaning, though not often requested.

  • Undertake deep cleaning projects during downtime to maintain the overall cleanliness of the home.

  • Assist in preparing the house for holidays and family gatherings.

  • Manage household inventory and supplies.

  • Strong task/time management skills.

  • Monitor tradesmen and household vendors.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience working as a Housekeeper in a private residence, with excellent references.

  • Exceptional cleaning skills and knowledge of caring for delicate materials, furnishings, and clothing.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Proficiency in email communication and basic internet research.

  • Comfortable working in a household with children and pets.

  • Clean background check.

  • Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

  • Ability to adhere to social media and household policies.

  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds

Schedule:

This is a part-time position, with ideal workdays scheduled for Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. Flexibility to work additional hours on evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed is required.

Compensation:

Hourly pay will be determined based on experience and skills, with a starting range of $25 to $30 per hour. Additionally, an annual discretionary bonus will be provided. The position includes 10 days of paid time off (PTO) per year. Compensation for mileage incurred during errands will be provided, along with a fixed rate for travel to and from distant secondary homes. A 30-minute lunch break will be paid during each 8-hour shift.
