Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription: The Lawn Maintenance Crew Leader is responsible for managing the crew that performs weekly care and maintenance of both our residential and commercial accounts.  As a Crew Leader, you will be on-site working with your crew to achieve the outstanding level of performance and satisfaction that Bluestone Landscapes is known for.

Duties:

  • Completion of all contracted work on each property visited during the week
  • Understanding of lawn maintenance process to ensure high-quality work and customer satisfaction
  • Troubleshooting any problems that might arise in the field
  • Focus on attention to detail
  • Able to drive truck and trailer
  • Operate mowers, weedwhackers, and blowers efficiently over the course of the entire workday
  • Be prepared and equipped to work each day in all weather (rain gear provided by company)
  • Overseeing every job site worked on to be sure that the property is up to Bluestone Landscape standards and that of the client
  • Organization of weekly schedules
  • Maintenance of trucks and equipment.
  • Initial and final walkthroughs on each property
Requirements:

  • 2 years as a lawn maintenance crew leader
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience in operating the following
    • Zero-turn mower
    • Hydraulic or belt walk behind mower
    • Push mower
    • Weedwhacker
    • Backpack blower
    • Various hand tools
  • Knowledge of professional standards for lawn maintenance on both higher-end commercial accounts as well as residential properties
  • Ability to sustain energy level throughout the entirety of workday
  • Capacity for independent and cooperative work
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs.
Preferred qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience leading weekly lawn maintenance crew
  • Snow removal experience preferred for winter work
