Job DescriptionJob Description

We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team The Project Engineer assists the Project Manager(s) and Project Superintendent(s) in establishing, distributing, routing plans and ensuring all information is being distributed properly both internally and externally. This position will schedule, plan, forecast, resource and manage all technical activities aiming at assuring project accuracy and quality from conception to completion. You must have extensive experience using Procore Construction Management Software.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Project Engineer typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:
· Manage RFI and submittal process

· Prepare front end documents

· Expedite and track material deliveries

· Estimate and process change orders

· Monitoring compliance with applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications

· Prepare monthly pay request and prepare shop drawings for approval

· Establish and manage schedule, cost and control procedures

· Become familiar with contracts, general conditions and flow down language

· Perform construct ability and coordination reviews

· Communicate effectively with Project Manager, Owner, Superintendent, Project Accountant and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support

· Assisting in drafting scopes of work for all bid packages; assist with bid openings and bid tabulations

· Negotiate changes with trades and owners; manage same process

· Provide job site orientation

· Facilitate project meetings as needed


EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

· BS OR MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management

· Extensive experience using Procore.

· 2 or more years with CM/General Contractor Organization working on mid-size, commercial construction projects

· Proven experience working as a Project Engineer


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

· Strong verbal and written skills

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Proficient in Microsoft Office programs

· Financial Management familiarity

· OSHA 10-Hour Certified

· MEP Experience

· Understanding of Contract Document & Specifications

· Proficient in project management software such as Procore, Viewpoint, Prolog
