Ideal candidate should have 3+ years experience in a retail supermarket/big box environment in fresh seafood sales, inventory control, product handling, and customer service. Seafood HACCP and food safety knowledge a plus. (We will certify you for seafood HACCP) Customer Service skills are an absolute must, as you will interact with business customers on a daily basis. - Supervise daily activities of the picking and loading management within a cold storage facility.
- Monitor and ensure accurate execution of processes to meet operational goals, considering the challenges of cold storage.
2. Team Leadership:
- Lead, motivate, and mentor supervisors, and warehouse staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide guidance and coaching to address performance issues and ensure professional growth.
3. Performance Analysis:
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and evaluate the distribution center's productivity and efficiency in a cold storage context.
- Identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, and develop action plans accordingly.
4. Inventory Management:
- Collaborate with the Logistics team to manage inventory levels, monitor stock movement, and reduce carrying costs, taking into account the challenges of cold storage.
5. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines, especially within the unique cold storage environment.
- Promote a safe working environment by enforcing proper safety protocols and conducting regular safety training.
6. Process Improvement:
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiency, accuracy, and customer service within a cold storage context.
- Implement best practices, technology solutions, and automation to drive process improvements.
