Responsibilities:

  • Monitor premises to prevent theft, violence, or infractions of rules
  • Thoroughly examine doors, windows, and gates to ensure proper function and security
  • Warn violators of premise rules and regulations
  • Apprehend or expel persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts
  • Report any facility issues such as fire hazards and leaking water pipes
  • Request emergency personnel for high risk situations

​Qualifications:

  • No experience needed
  • Familiarity with security equipment
  • Ability to handle physical workload
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Education: high school diploma or GED equivalent, valid Arizona Drivers license demonstrating a mature driver’s history
  • Technological skills: ability to use smartphone/computer technology including but not limited to: Whatsapp, email, Microsoft Office Word, security camera/surveillance software. Must have personal working smartphone.

Skills:

1. Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation. Must maintain professional, courteous attitude with visitors and tenants at all times.
2. Ability to maintain calm under periods of intense stress, emergency situations
3. Knowledge of safety procedures and technology, crime prevention methods
4. Able to work independently of direct supervision and demonstrate initiative
5. Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with tenants and upper management when necessary
6. Ability to effectively communicate verbally to individuals who are agitated or refusing to leave the premise.

Working Conditions:
Part-time. 12 months a year, 2pm- 10pm with flexibility to adjust to work weekends, holidays, special events etc. Predominately walking and standing for long periods of time, but could involve running, kneeling, crouching at times. Vision abilities include but not limited to the ability to see things close up and at variable distances, color, peripheral and depth perception, and the ability to see things at night. You may be required to carry or lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
