Community Healthcare Network is seeking for a Full-Time Ophthalmic Technician to support our Optometrists by providing acuity screenings and diagnostic eye tests.
JOB FUNCTION:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide quality eye care services to patients.
- Perform spectacle skills, visual acuity and diagnostic tests, AB-scan, Fundus photography, Visual Field, OCT and Pachymetry.
- Complete documentation of all patient care.
- Participate in the development of departmental policies.
- Ensure proper professional conduct for optimum patient care delivery.
- Promptly address patient concerns.
- Responsible for accurate and timely billing and coding.
- Ensure compliance with Ophthalmic clinical practice standards
- Maintaining active licenses and all continuing education requirements for licensure
- Facilitates related services for health center patients as appropriate with respect to their confidentiality and privacy.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
- Associate Degree, which includes course work in a Bio-Medical Technician field, and three years of experience in the appropriate bio-medical technician field in an approved hospital or health facility; or
- High School graduate or GED equivalent, and four years of experience in the appropriate bio-medical technical field in an approved hospital or health facility; or
- Current Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification preferred.
