GENERAL SUMMARY

Responsible for routine machine operation, following all safety procedures, and ensuring efficient output according to scheduled jobs. Responsible for assembly and packaging according to established rates for scheduled jobs. Requires flexibility on a daily basis throughout each day, to transition from one operation area to another, from one machine to another, as assigned.

COMPANY STANDARDS

  • Maintains regular attendance and punctuality in order to perform assigned tasks related to daily production demands. This position performs all hours onsite and at all assigned physical locations of operations.
  • Follows all safety rules and regulations; wears and/or uses required protective equipment while working; immediately reports any safety concerns or unsafe working conditions to Operations Management.
  • Conducts all aspects of job responsibilities in compliance with the JM Murray mission statement, policies and procedures, professional standards, and applicable governmental laws, rules and regulations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Operates manufacturing and production equipment including, but not limited to, automated manufacturing machines, injection mold machines, digital scales, pallet jacks, and packaging equipment (i.e. blister packers, shrink wrappers, cartoners, tapers, etc.)
  2. Sets up repeat jobs that do not require tooling. Loads/unloads machines. Once trained, may be required to make simple adjustments and perform simple maintenance to specific machines.
  3. Assembles and packages products manually as directed and performs at the required productivity standard set for assigned tasks.
  4. Performs quality inspections of own work and the work of the assigned area.
  5. Maintains basic production records including but not limited to quantities produced, inventory, etc.
  6. Assists in maintaining any tools/equipment and materials used for tasks being performed.
  7. Maintains a clean and clutter free work environment.
  8. Notifies Team Lead or Supervisor when service participants require assistance.
  9. When assigned, performs material handling functions in work areas including but not limited to moving raw materials to production areas, transferring finished goods as needed, etc.
  10. Participates in and completes all assigned training; attends all assigned meetings.
  11. Represents JM Murray and the JM Murray mission in a positive manner, treating people with dignity and respect.
  12. Performs additional duties and responsibilities, as assigned.

High school diploma or GED

1 yr. experience with in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required

KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS

Basic reading and comprehension skills, and the ability to follow written instructions

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

Basic computer skills for data entry and utilizing reports are required

Ability to follow verbal instructions and return communication

WORKING CONDITIONS

Job assignments primarily may take place indoors. Assignments may take place in different locations of the production floor or in another JM Murray location.
