Job DescriptionJob Description

Certified Medical Assistant Position

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical terminology and experience working in a doctors office setting. New grads also welcome.

Duties:

- Provide patient care and support under the supervision of a healthcare provider
- Conduct patient interviews and record medical histories
- Perform routine medical tests and procedures, including assisting with biopsies and other medical procedures.
- Assist with preparing patients for examinations and treatments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient care
- Provide basic life support, including CPR and first aid, as needed
- Stay current with advancements in hospital medicine and dermatology
- Operate electronic systems and software
- Demonstrate a commitment to patient care and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced healthcare environment

- Ability to travel between all 3 locations: Mount Arlington, Morristown and Bridgewater.

- Ability to be cross-trained in clinical and clerical duties.

Experience:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred as a Certified Medical Assistant, but new grads are welcome and will be trained on the job.
- Experience with dermatology patients preferred but not required.
- Current certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Ability to work in a dynamic and high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
