Additionally: Experience in Inventory Management of Construction materials, Automotive or Mechanical parts helpful

Procurement, Warehouse, Inventory & Vendor Management experience required.

This position will support our Philadelphia region - This is a Full Time Hourly position.

Will work ONSITE at our Baltimore MD Branch Office

Plumbing & HVAC Parts & Materials experience preferred

Full Time - Hourly position - Our Warehouse Operations Team is GROWING We are BUSY

The buyer position is critical to the growth and success of LEN THE PLUMBER HEATING & AIR As an LTP Purchasing Agent you will work with the Warehouse & Operations team to supervise and coordinate the buying of HVAC/Plumbing products, materials and services in a professionally coordinated way. Your responsibilities also include monitoring purchasing expenses, vendor pricing, parts expediting and keeping track of accounts / contracts.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Execute sourcing of materials to meet cost, timing and quality objectives.
  • Partner with business unit leaders and provide excellent service in support of company goals.
  • Maintenance of vendor price lists and preferred supplier relationships
  • Vendor price alignment with company’s profit target
  • Prepare purchase orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining recommendations from suppliers for substitute items; obtaining approval from requisitioning department.
  • Verify purchase orders by comparing items requested to take-off sheets; clarifying unclear items; and recommending alternatives.
  • Verify vendor acknowledgements and ensure timely delivery.
  • Maintain good and positive working relationships with distributors, suppliers, and internal departments.
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve quantity, quality, and supply issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Review and resolve back orders, warranty parts and returns.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years’ experience in tactical procurement, buying and expediting of service / warehouse parts
  • 2+-year experience preferred in purchasing for HVAC or similar industry
  • Knowledge of the basic principles of inventory management
  • Service Titan experience is preferred.
  • Applicants with previous experience in a mechanical field such as HVAC, plumbing, or automotive service are preferred.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency
  • High energy with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Analytical problem solver with strong organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, and committed to driving results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfortable operating in a matrix organization.
  • Familiarity with procure-to-pay processes (i.e., PO generation, Approval, Supplier Confirmation, Expediting and Receiving)
  • Ability to handle high volume during peak demand times.

Experience/ Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, associates and college degrees preferred.
  • Background HVAC / Plumbing is preferable.
