• Shapes, finishes, and refinishes furniture to specified color or finish.
General Accountabilities
- Mixes finish ingredients to obtain desired colors or shades.
- Brushes, sprays, or hand-rubs finishing ingredients onto and into wood grain.
- Applies lacquer or other sealers.
- Smoothens, shapes, and touches up surfaces to prepare them for finishing.
- Selects appropriate finishing ingredients.
- Fills and smoothen cracks or depressions, removes marks or imperfections, and repairs broken parts.
- General knowledge of saws, sanders, routers and small tools
- General assembly of finished goods
- Packing of finished orders for shipping
- Forklift certification a plus
- CNC machine knowledge and experience a plus and compensated
