A medical facility is seeking an Insurance Assistant to work part-time 20 hours each week; 4 hours each day between the hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Job Duties:

  • Make outgoing, receive incoming phone calls, and perform over-the-phone intakes for new clients
  • Schedule and reschedule client appointments
  • Verify Insurance, explain benefits to clients, and track clinician case closures
  • Create meeting agendas and keep meeting notes for weekly and monthly meetings
  • Respond to email requests from the clients and therapists
  • Generate Good Faith Estimates and collect unpaid balances
  • Use Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, and Documents)
  • Perform other administrative duties

 

Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma
  • Must have previous office experience
  • Must have an articulate, friendly, and professional phone voice
  • Must have excellent customer service, communication skills
  • Must be very computer savvy with knowledge on how to attach files, create and imbed a hyperlink, and alter a spreadsheet
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, and Documents) is needed
  • Must have high-speed Internet, a quiet and designated home office space or confidential workspace, Mid-range PC or MAC with current virus software
  • Second screen is recommended
  • Must have the ability to get the job done and do a good job
