Job Description:
We are seeking a Tax Associate with 2-3 years of experience in tax preparation and related tasks. The ideal candidate will have an EA (Enrolled Agent) or CPA designation and be proficient with tax preparation software such as Drake or similar. You will be responsible for preparing individual and business tax returns, providing tax planning services, and ensuring compliance with tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review individual and business tax returns.
  • Assist in tax planning and research to optimize client outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Work closely with senior associates and partners to deliver high-quality service.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide tax advice.

Qualifications:

  1. Experience:

    • 2-3 years of experience in tax preparation, with a strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.

  2. Certifications:

    • EA (Enrolled Agent) or CPA required.

  3. Software Proficiency:

    • Proficiency with tax preparation software such as Drake or similar. Experience with bookkeeping software is a plus.

  4. Detail-Oriented:

    • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to accurately prepare and review tax returns.

  5. Problem-Solving Skills:

    • Ability to research complex tax issues and develop effective solutions for clients.
