Our client, a well-known spirits brand, is looking for a BOURBON SENIOR BRAND AMBASSADOR who will support Sales and Marketing in the assigned territory. Through the management team's direction, the Brand Ambassador is held accountable for executing localized programming that drives business and aligns with the field objectives. The Brand Ambassador will be tasked with obtaining new distribution points, thinking creatively to drive trial and adoption, and key account programming in all trade channels.  Additionally, the ideal candidate will have credibility in the industry and develop account relationships to drive velocity through drink features, menu placements, consumer tastings, bartender and distributor advocacy, and brand education.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

  • Sales. Obtain new points of distribution.
  • Plan, execute, and supervise trade and consumer events and sponsorships.   
  • Oversee a strategic key account universe with relationship-based sales to leverage objectives.
  • Establish positive customer rapport in assigned accounts and with key distributors.
  • Execute sponsorship or partnership activation within assigned accounts.
  • Collaborate with distributors to drive assigned brand focus and execution in key accounts.
  • Champion the effort in winning at the point of purchase, by building lasting trade relationships and working unusual hours including late nights and weekends (specifically on-premises).
  • Champion the on-premise, off-premise, and non-traditional/non-licensed brand-building efforts by creating and executing lasting trade and consumer activation plans.
  • Coordinate and leverage both consumer and account POS. 
  • As a local market expert, seek out event opportunities to feature promotional resources and highlight the brand.
  • Ensures appropriate targeting and coordination of brand presence at large-scale consumer and trade events in the region.
  • Trains and educates distributor and agency partners on brand.
  • Participate in distributor sales meetings, as needed to support the brand.
  • Plans and coordinates distillery representative market visits.
  • Facilitates brands’ homeplace visits for market customers and guests.
  • Primary contact for brand expertise/training at "consumer events" level through promotional assets, whether the events are on or off-premise accounts or other venue types. 
  • Be a source for consumer/channel/competitive insights. Feed local market intelligence through the organization.
  • Participate in the brand/regional environmental analysis and develop innovative programs and ideas.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience in related field) plus 2 years of marketing or sales experience within the beverage or CPG industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, to develop and maintain effective working relationships with all members of extended sales and brand teams.
  • Resourcefulness, an understanding of how to get things done by leveraging opportunities against multiple resources.
  • Strong presentation skills including expertise developing PowerPoint or Google Slides presentations and marketing plans.
  • Sound financial skills, experience managing a budget for supporting accounts. Analytical Skills.
  • Willingness to work unconventional hours (late nights and weekends).
  • Essential Physical Abilities: you must be able to lift and carry weight in excess of 30 lbs.
  • Sit/stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Pick up and transport POS, event equipment, product, etc.
