CAD Operator

The role of a CAD Operator at Bova Corp is to transform the concept proposed in an architectural drawing, rendering, an isometric drawing, or hand sketch; and make it something we can manufacture. Bova CAD Operators figure out how we can build what the customer wants. With attention to detail, engineers determine the quickest, most cost-effective method that fits our manufacturing capacity. This position reports to the Engineering Manager.

Specific Duties include:

· Participate in transition meetings with Project Manager and Engineering Manager to review details.

· Collaborating with the Estimator, Project Manager, and Engineering Manager to achieve what the customer wants profitably.

· Create models for each item showing detail and drawing format consistent with best manufacturing practices.

· Submit drawings to the Engineering Manager for approval.

· Make changes to the submittal drawings as directed by Engr. Mgr.

· Create laser cut sheets, bend dwgs. or codes, tubing cut lists and assembly drawings for new projects. Submit to Engr. Manager.

· Respond to manufacturing questions in a timely manner.

· Perform other duties as required to help the company.

Experience:

  • Autodesk Inventor: 1 year (Preferred)
