Job Description

Department: Siding

Reports to: Vice President

Job Summary

The Superintendent in the Siding Division is involved in all stages of Siding Project Management by overseeing the production process, coordinating the labor installation on multiple projects, maintaining Safety Compliance, ensuring the supply of Siding materials and monitoring the quality of the Siding products and Siding installation.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for the effective management of the Siding subcontractors, and siding materials for proper installation of all siding products

• Involved in all the stages of siding production and siding installation, including pre-planning stage or the stage of production control and evaluation of the siding details and plans

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities, while ensuring timely installation of all siding products.

• Follow established procedures and approved processes

• Schedule and monitor all phases of project process

• Coordinate safety training/toolbox talks for site specific topics, forklifts, and equipment.

• Ensure that the collaboration between work departments is lucid and there are no communication gaps

• Analyze the quality of the products and installation, so that in the quest to reach targets, quality of the product and installation does not deteriorate

• Closely monitors the performance of Subcontractors’ to ensure that the target of production quality is achieved

• Maintain relationships with vendors and contractor

• Attend meetings with management to discuss the problems in production or installation

• Ensure that all projects are delivered materials on time

Required Leadership Skills

• Must have strong leadership skills, Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others; results orientated

• Strong team player and motivator

• Strong Safety acumen; experience with OSHA a plus

• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with employees, vendors, and clients

Required Skills/Competencies

• Ability to think ahead, plan and prepare a 30-day action plans to achieve results

• Extremely organized and have a strong attention to detail

• Ability Problem analysis and resolution

• Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications

• Must be familiar with product construction and application

• Must have complete knowledge of production scheduling, and field installations

• This position requires that the person be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently

• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.

• Will be computer literate, particularly in production planning, and inventory control applications

• Must be able to complete and pass a pre-employment drug test

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent

• 3-5 years Siding Project Supervision

• 3-5 years of experience with siding, repairs, and installation or related building industry

• Experience with construction/OSHA safety protocols

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to tolerate extreme heights

• Must be able to climb ladders

• Must be able to independently set-up 32-foot ladders

• Must be able to maneuver in small spaces

• Must be able to stand, walk and bend for long periods of time

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

• Must be able to work outdoors in varying and extreme climate conditions

• Must be able to tolerate loud noise

• Must be able to drive a pick-up, panel, or large truck (if a necessary requirement of position)

Environmental/Other Requirements

• Ability to travel with possible overnight stay
