Overview:
MUST SPEAK ENGLISH PER CLIENT REQUEST.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Day Janitor to join our facilities maintenance team for one of our clients in Redwood City. As a Janitor, you will be responsible for ensuring our client's facilities are clean, well-maintained, and safe for all occupants. This role requires a strong work ethic, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Lobby/Common Areas:
-Pick up exterior & interior lobby debris
-Clean entry lobby areas of the 1st & 2nd floors of the building
-Remove any finger smudges from lobby doors and windows throughout the shift
-Clean & disinfect the security entry’s
-Clean Elevator doors to 1st & 2nd assigned floors

Restrooms:
-Ensure clean and disinfect sinks & counter tops
-Remove trash as needed and replace liners
-Refill as needed paper supplies
-Mop floors as needed with semi dry mop
-Wipe window sills of conference rooms
-Wipe & disinfect handrails in stairwells 1st & 2nd floors

Copy Rooms/Conference Rooms & Break Areas:
-Clean and disinfect sinks in break areas if applicable
-Clean inside drawers in break areas & kitchens
-Remove trash and replace liners as needed
-Clean & disinfect all empty conference rooms (not being used) place chairs back
-Wipe tables clean
-Place chairs back
-Remove cups and any items from conference rooms after any meeting

Showers/Gym:
-Check shower areas and fold clean towels accordingly
-Clean and disinfect the gym equipment & clean mirrors on wall accordingly

Misc:
-Help facilities or Administrative Staff with event set ups (follow instructions)
-Walk all common areas during shift to ensure cleanliness
-Maintain closet storage area clean after our shift ends (lock & secure)

Requirements:
-MUST SPEAK ENGLISH PER CLIENT REQUEST.
- Proven experience in custodial or facilities maintenance roles.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning and maintenance techniques and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and procedures.
- Experience with commercial and industrial cleaning equipment.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with others.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new cleaning and maintenance techniques and procedures.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week (Shift TBD)

 

Physical Setting: Our Client's Corporate HQ/Office

Schedule: Day shift, Within Monday to Friday, 24 Hours

Experience: Janitorial: 1 year (Preferred)

Ability to Commute: Redwood City, CA (Required)
