Job DescriptionJob Description

Express Employment Professionals is looking for a Production Assistant for a candy manufacturer & retailer in Tonawanda, NY.

Shift Hours: 7am-3pm, with an additional OT half-day on Saturdays starting in October.

Pay Rate: $15-17.00/hr BOE+

Key Responsibilities: Operates kitchen equipment such as large mixers, ovens, and large pots in a safe and proficient manner according to standard guidelines.

  • Mix or cook candies in batches per Company's standards.
  • Read formulas/ recipes, measurements, tapes & thermometers.
  • Perform clean-up activates assigned.
  • May be assigned other duties by management as required.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of kitchen commercial experience needed
  • At least 1 year of working in a manufacturing environment
  • Able to read & understand recipes
  • Possess basic math skills
  • Able to lift 50lbs
  • Able to apply to physical demands- stand on hard surfaces for the duration of an 8-hour shift.
