Title: Sr. Accountant

Location: Romulus, MI.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000 year

Purpose:

Support the controller in maintaining control of the financial activities of the plant oversee accounts receivable and payroll. Process monthly, quarterly and annual reports required by the system.

Responsibilities:

• Audit, reconcile and prepare schedules of general ledger and inventory activity.
• Formulate and compile data for preparation of budget or other accounting projects.
• Responsible for A/R, and payroll activities daily.
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports (year and audit) and audit binder preparation.
• Capital appropriations, accounts receivable and standard cost information. Account Reconciliations and Fixed Asset Maintenance.
• Assist in the development and implementation of the Company’s policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Experienced in ABC costing system and ADP payroll processing, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
• 5 years if practical accounting experience with minimum of 3 years in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong computer skills (PC, AS 400)
• Well-Developed communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
• Advanced accounting skills, including standard costs, variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, profit analysis, and performance measurements.
