POSITION PURPOSE:

Oversight of inventory and warehouse team while controlling and managing inventory and logistics. Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and overall customer service. Manages and evaluates deliveries, shipments, and stock levels to both track and improve inventory control procedures. Analyzes product levels to anticipate inventory turns, safety stock and ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES:

  • Timely and accurately manage inventory and control processes, perform analysis, and take necessary actions to ensure effective control of inventory levels, costs and forecasts resulting in inventory reduction, cash generation, cost avoidance, increased inventory turns and efficient safety stock.
  • Lead inventory and warehouse team to ensure inventory accuracy both physically and in ERP system. Maintain warehouse to ensure clean, organized, and safe working environment. Assist team with daily activities as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, control processes and shipping methods.
  • Develop and implement inventory control KPI’s and liaise with Finance department to establish financial operational reporting for inventory.
  • Facilitate the preparation of inventory financial performance for reporting purposes.
  • Serve as site lead for systems implementation and modifications. Perform advanced configuration of the WMS and lead company initiatives to improve WMS functionality. Ensure staff fully understand and utilize the ERP system to its fullest capabilities by developing rigid processes and procedures to ensure quality, timely, and accurate inventory transactions and levels.
  • Provide oversight of the inventory clean-up project; work with internal team members to determine classification of inventory for use or disposal.
  • Support effort to categorically arrange and maintain warehouse, both physically and electronically for better efficiency and visibility of contents.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels across multiple sites (on and offsite locations), ensuring adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and obsolescence. Own, understand, evaluate, and address the unique requirements and challenges of each location.
  • Establish rigorous access controls to inventory for non- department personnel.
  • Assist in establishing metrics related to inventory (on-hand value, safety stock, excess) and communicating performance results on a regular basis.
  • Support return of goods in identifying use and value for the returned goods.
  • Lead initiative for sales of overstock, excess and obsolete items.
  • Approve expenses and manage divisional budgets for inventory and warehouse as needed.
  • Provide leadership to the inventory control and warehouse teams, including the determination of adequate staffing levels, recruitment and disciplinary actions. Oversee teams and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency.

Education/Certification:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline required

Required Knowledge & Experience:

  • 5-7 years’ experience in inventory and warehouse management required
  • Must possess proficient computer skills and familiarity with MS Office products; ability to use various business operations software to manage information
  • Knowledge of general office equipment required
  • Experience with ERP system required
  • Proficient with warehouse procedures and policies


Must possess valid driver's license with no restrictions.
